Pirenópolis is a town in the state of Goiás in Brazil.
It’s known for Portuguese colonial buildings like the
restored 18th-century Nossa Senhora do Rosário Church. The
Divine Museum displays costumes used in the town’s Holy
Spirit Festival. To the north, Vagafogo Wildlife Sanctuary
has river pools and forest trails. Nearby waterfalls include
Cachoeira do Lázaro, in Vargem Grande Reserve, and Cachoeira
do Abade.
